Internal Control is about managing the network of business policies, practices and procedures to achieve corporate goals and missions as well as minimizing the impact of risks and uncertainties along the way. Internal control, governed by Public Financial Management Law 5018, is enacted to ensure  that Public Agencies comply with the laws and regulations, prevent  corruption and fraud in financial decisions and transactions,  receive regular, timely and reliable reports and information  to support  decision making  and follow-up, and protect public assets against misuse, waste and loss.
